In 1997, I bought my first book of Colette Peters' Wedding Cakes, and immediately knew "that's what I want to do someday". After 15 years as #2 100-ton CG Licensed Captain, and Chef aboard large private yachts (and making specialty desserts for the owners and their guests), we returned to Hilton Head and my pursuit of creating cakes. |

In 2005 I received my certificate from The Wilton School of Cake Decorating in Chicago for their Master Course - (and two additional courses with Colette Peters!). I taught Wilton cake decorating courses for two years and also taught airbrushing, gum paste flower making, and cake designing at the Hilton Head Art League Academy. |
